Intel Xeon Gold Processor - 5220

The Intel Xeon Gold 5220 processor is built on the 14nm Cascade Lake architecture and targets enterprise-level servers and high-performance computing environments. It has 18 physical cores and supports Hyper-Threading technology for a total of 36 threads, enabling high parallelism for virtualized and multi-threaded workloads.

Operating at a base frequency of 2.20 GHz with turbo speeds reaching 3.9 GHz, the processor offers strong single-thread and multi-thread performance. The 24.75 MB of SmartCache enhances data access speeds, while support for six memory channels and up to 1TB of DDR4 memory ensures excellent memory bandwidth and capacity.

The processor also supports Intel Optane DC Persistent Memory for enhanced storage performance and efficiency. With 48 PCI Express 3.0 lanes, it offers extensive I/O connectivity for expansion cards and high-speed networking. It uses the FCLGA3647 socket and supports up to 4-socket scalability.
